Sten Stoltze joins Carbo Culture as Chief Operating Officer

Building real-world infrastructure takes deep experience, strong execution capabilities and a bit of madness. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Sten Stoltze as Carbo Culture’s new Chief Operating Officer. Formerly Head of Engineering, R&D and CTO of Ørsted, Sten will lead operations at our future sites, oversee the project management office and drive our pipeline of facilities build-out. Together with all parts of the organisation, he’s ensuring seamless work across disciplines.

In his past work at Ørsted, Sten and his team rolled out 1,400 offshore wind turbines, starting in the early, high-risk and high-tariff days of the industry. Offshore wind has seen a tremendous cost-out, but also constant performance improvement and scale while building the industry to higher bankability. Prior to Ørsted, Sten built cement factories all over the world at FLSmidth.

Sten is a down-to-earth Nordic leader with an appreciation for nature and sports. He has dedicated his career to building projects, and he’s here to build our roll-out next. We’re thrilled to have him as part of the company leadership and projects steering committee for the next phase of our journey!
