Renewable energy
Do you want to use your biomass sidestreams to create renewable energy to help run your processes and reduce operational costs?
Unlike traditional pyrolysis processes, our proprietary technology is uniquely exothermic meaning it produces renewable energy. This is because it turns unwanted tars and oils into energy-rich biogenic syngas which can be burnt to replace fossil fuels.
The Carboylsis process requires external energy (2% of the total energy output) to kick-start the process. After that, the process is self-sustaining by utilizing the biomass to reach temperatures high above 750 degrees Celsius.
Efficient
The process converts roughly 50% of the carbon in the biomass into biogenic syngas and the rest to .
High yield
Constant output
Renewable electricity
A gas engine can generate electricity out of the biogenic syngas. This way it can be either supplied to the grid or used as carbon neutral electricity.
Heat
The most efficient manner to utilise biogenic syngas is to burn it in a boiler to generate heat for large industrial applications.
Co-locating with industrial processes with waste biomass is beneficial for both: the process gets a stable source of feedstock and the industrial partner a pre-determined price for energy as a long-term offtake, de-risking financials while mitigating CO2 emissions. In essence, we provide stability, affordability and emission reductions.
